Transport to Walks

Wednesdays and Saturdays:

  • Starting times of Saturday & Wednesday rambles are arranged for a specific train or bus
  • Check actual times in case of engineering works or alterations
  • Timetables may have changed since the proramme was completed
  • Contact the leader if train or bus times are altered, or delays are expected

Sundays

  • Usually involve meeting at Surbiton Clock Tower (SCT) to share cars
  • Drivers are asked to go first to Surbiton Clock Tower (SCT) unless it is a long way off their route
  • Normally there will be car seats for all, but this cannot of course be guaranteed
  • Passengers are requested to contribute towards the cost of fuel and 10p per mile is suggested, for both outward and return journeys
  • It is expected that this money will be offered by passengers and accepted by drivers

CDR in programme is short for Cheap Day Return train ticket

OPR stands for Off-Peak Return (i.e. start after 09:30 Monday to Friday)
